SBRI Scholarship Awards



The dancers of The State Ballet of Rhode Island are a dedicated group of young people who have achieved a certain level of technique and ability. Annual scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. You must be an auditioning dancer or current SBRI dance member to apply.

Scholarship tryouts begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. following the company audition.

Requirements

A solo presentation, up to 2 ½ minutes, is required for scholarships. Over $17,000 is given out in scholarships per year.

Chosen by Herci Marsden, Artistic Director, SBRI (for male & female dancer)

The "Madame Ana Roje Scholarship"
Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges (for female dancer)

The "Sir Anton Dolin Scholarship"
Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges (for male dancer)

The "Oskar Harmos Scholarship"
Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges

The "Joseph Levinhoff Scholarship"
Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director and Judges

The "Mia Slavenska Scholarship"
Chosen by SBRI Artistic Director (for male or female)

"The Spark Scholarship"
