A World Premiere in Music & Dance for Rhode Island
Mother's Day weekend, take your loved ones to see The State Ballet of Rhode Island, director Herci Marsden, present an around-the world performance experience - "Tour de Ballet"A special presentation includes a world premiere in music and dance by emerging RI composer Christy Isles and SBRI resident choreographer Mia Nocera Nocera Godbout. Written for The State Ballet of Rhode Island, the six movement piece will be played by live ensemble. Not only will this collaborative work feature RIC Alumnus, but it will also provide examples of different styles of dance throughout the world, as well as different styles of music throughout the work.

Additionally, from The State Ballet's repertoire various ballet's from different countries will be featured such as the "Tarantella" from Italy, "The Can-Can "from France, an exciting Celtic ballet from Ireland, the "Don Quixote Pas de Deux" from Spain, the romantic waltzes from Vienna and the East Slavic epic Polovtsian Dances from Borodin's "Prince Igor", a. colorful setting with marvelous moments of drama and characterization.

Tickets on sale March 12th
Adult tickets are $30.College & high School students with ID are $20.
Children 12 and under are $16.
