Annual Open Audition for aspiring young dancers, children ages 6-14.

The State Ballet of Rhode Island presents Herci Marsden's Coppélia, an enchanting love story of a dancing doll, a mystical toy-make Dr. Coppélius, life size dancing dolls and a forever after wedding celebration.

Dates & Times:

Friday, October 2, 2009, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 3, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Students should arrive 1/2 hour before audition to register and change.

Looking For:

Girls ages 6-11, with at least one year of ballet training
Girls intermediate level ages 8-14
Boys with little or no ballet training, ages 7 and up

Audition Attire:

Boys: Tee-shirt, tights or sweat pants and white ballet slippers
Girls: Leotard, tights and ballet slippers (Pointe shoes for those who are proficient en pointe)

Registration and Audition Fee:

Registration and a $15.00 audition fee is preferred in advance.

Friday December 11th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. (Cultural Enrichment Performance)
Friday, December 11th, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 12th, 2009 at 2:30 p.m.
